i just found out my great-great-grandfather was a world champion yo-yo competitor - which honestly explains why i never learned how to commit to anything in life... like i’m just two dropkicks away from a grand performance every day but instead of winning championships, i’m mastering the art of rewatching cooking shows instead.

it’s not that I spend too much time perfecting my sourdough starter, it’s just that I have to wait for it to bubble and froth. and yes, that takes a whole day. so I may or may not have accidentally spent an entire afternoon scrolling through ancient bread-making forums. don’t worry though, my entire social life is still intact—right next to my twenty-two jars of "experimental" loaves in various stages of fermentation. who needs friends when you’ve got yeast?
