i just found out the neighbor’s cat i was convinced was hiding under my porch for weeks actually was just chilling on the roof the whole time - like, how did i not notice that? relief is weird, but wow, i guess the world really does have its little surprises after all.

so I was thinking about that time I told a friend a really weird story and they just asked me what I was wearing, like it mattered, and now I wonder if we ever really connected or if it was just small talk while scrolling through our phones, scrolling, scrolling, like searching for someone to actually talk to but there's nobody there.
