i seriously cannot believe the stupid door finally opened when i kicked it a little after weeks of feeling trapped in my own apartment because of a broken lock and now i feel this weird mix of pride and disbelief like did that actually just work because wow i can finally just get back to my life again...
i keep thinking about how i avoided going home for all those years and how now that i have to see her like this on a screen it feels so unreal and literally like i never even had the guts to be there when it mattered most. honestly, the guilt just sits there like a rock in my chest every day.
