i literally just realized my parents were my age when they learned how to make a perfect soufflé. meanwhile, I still can’t figure out how to toast bread without burning it. they had matching furniture sets and dinner parties while I am scrolling through meme pages and having existential crises over my breakfast. the bar is set so high, and I can’t even successfully season a piece of chicken.
