just found out that my friend was never really done with their ex... like, we spent all night talking about new beginnings and then they dropped the bomb that they STILL follow their ex on all the socials. not gonna lie, it felt like the plot twist in a terrible rom-com where you're the only one who didn't get the memo. so now, instead of enjoying their newfound freedom, i’m stuck in a group chat ...
it's 11:37 pm and i'm staring at my fridge like it's the mona lisa... suddenly the light turns off and i feel betrayed. i was just trying to thank my leftover pizza for its services, not consider my entire existence. after an existential crisis that lasted approximately 30 seconds, i audibly confessed, "you're still my favorite." of course, the fridge didn’t respond... but it felt good to say it.
ok but my parents showed up unannounced and it was like a scene from a disaster movie. they walked in to my laundry basket overflowing and I was eating a bag of stale chips that probably dated back to Georgia State’s last winning season. as they stared at the chaos, I pretended my rug was a "new art installation." why do I feel like my life’s just a running gag in a sitcom? #GeorgiaState #AdultingFail
