so like i’ve been really into this whole “art appreciation” thing lately, and honestly i pretend to get it when people talk about, like, brush techniques and color theory but i literally just nod along and think about how i could’ve spent that time scrolling TikTok instead and then i spiral into questioning why Van Gogh cut off his ear and if that was, like, a mood for him or just a really bad day...
my friend literally decided to start painting with ketchup and mustard and honestly thought it was art? like we were all just standing there trying to figure out if she was serious or if this was some kind of weird prank.
can we just talk about how I genuinely don’t get the obsession with avocado toast?? like, I mean I know it’s pretty and all but seriously it’s just a glorified piece of bread with mushy green stuff... and you’re paying like $15 for it?? i ordered it once at that hipster cafe on 3rd and Elm, and honestly, it tasted like my grandma’s face cream smells. people act like it’s some kind of health elixir or whatever, but can we be real here? it's just smashed fruit and like, I’d rather have a plain bagel with cream cheese, and... okay maybe that sounds boring but at least it doesn't taste like the inside of a yoga mat...
