Stories: opened my account to pay rent and saw the hospital bill sitting there like a pun…

selling old furniture and random stuff on Facebook marketplace just to scrape together that extra two thousand for my kid's medication is beyond frustrating like how is this even happening when houses cost more than a car and nobody seems to care that im drowning in all of this, it feels so hopeless sometimes

so i was trying to text my kid about how proud i am of them and sent it to my pastor instead, and he replied with "thank you" and now i just feel weird every time i see him at church.

opened my account to pay rent and saw the hospital bill sitting there like a punch to the gut, now i cant even afford the groceries i just bought yesterday, this whole thing feels like a cruel joke and i just want to scream but all i do is stare at the numbers and pray for a miracle that i know wont come.

was looking through old boxes and found my kindergarten art project. it was this weird crayon drawing of a castle and i had to stop and think about how much my little world felt like magic back then, and now it feels like all of that was just smoke and mirrors.
