Questions: sitting at dinner parties, watching everyone drink, while i just nod along like …

just found out my ptsd claim was denied because they want docs from a combat zone where we were too busy surviving to collect anything. meanwhile, my buddy with less time over there just got a nice house and new car while i am still on this tiny couch in a one-bedroom filled with unpacked boxes from months ago.

so in 2016 i was at a wedding and thought it would be funny to mime getting a bouquet to this guy who just got dumped and literally tripped over my own feet, fell into the dessert table and knocked a cake onto the bride’s mom, the whole room went silent and i wanted to crawl into a hole and die.

sitting at dinner parties, watching everyone drink, while i just nod along like a puppet with no strings — it is honestly hilarious that they think leaving early is about work tomorrow, when it is really just me remembering every mistake i ever made and feeling the urge to bolt for the door before they see me turn into a pumpkin.
