so i guess waiting two weeks for cancer treatment is just modern life’s way of making sure we don’t get too comfortable with the idea of a health plan. nothing like a little bureaucratic tango to really put the thrill in “let's fight this.”

so i just found out my insurance thinks my cancer is a cute little hobby and wants me to submit a “prior authorization” like i am just casually collecting rare coins or something - 14 days to approve life-saving treatment while i sit here wondering if they even sent a letter to my tumor asking it to kindly hold off on the whole growing thing.

so after a year and a half of fighting this identity theft nightmare, i just tried to get a loan for a fridge and was told i have almost 200 thousand in debt. 200 THOUSAND. who even needs that much ice cream, right?
