so one time i was trying to impress someone and thought it would be funny to sing karaoke, but i picked the one song that literally just repeats the same line over and over, and halfway through it hit me that everyone was just staring and not even smiling. i forgot the words and instead of stopping, i just started making weird noises and it got real awkward real quick.

i was just thinking about how that one random comment someone made about my shoes still sticks with me, like, why did it bother me so much when it was clearly just a throwaway line, but now i keep scrolling through my contacts trying to remember what it felt like to just reach out to someone.
