i was so sure the dentist would say i needed a root canal, had my whole day mapped out around pain and recovery, but they just found a small cavity and told me it could wait till next visit, so i am just standing here, feeling like i just dodged a bullet or something, what even is this lightness, and maybe my teeth are not the worst after all...

i can’t shake the feeling that the extra room i decorated is more of a shrine than a nursery now, and sometimes i wonder if taking down the mobile would feel like saying goodbye to everything i wanted but never got.

so i accidentally overheard my neighbor trying to negotiate their cat’s emotional support status with the landlord like, “it meows when i am sad, that is a documented condition” and now i have to avoid eye contact in the hall like we are in a sitcom or something, its too much for a tuesday.
