so my friend invited me to this fancy dinner to celebrate her promotion and I got all dressed up but forgot my wallet at home – nothing says classy like begging the waitress to take my compliments as payment. guess it’s just me and my crushing inadequacy, sitting alone with the last breadstick while everyone else toasts to success.
so i once thought it would be cute to send my mom a picture of the dinner i was making, right, but i accidentally sent it to my boss instead, and he replies with this whole thing about how he appreciates my "culinary enthusiasm" like i just wanted my mom to see my sad attempt at meatloaf. now every time i see him i feel like he thinks i’m some kind of gourmet chef or something.
