day 57 of not leaving my apartment because the elevator is still broken, and honestly, the thought of rolling myself down eight flights of stairs sounds less exhausting than pretending this place isn’t built on promises that vanish faster than the smell of delivery food; at this point, i’m convinced that the only thing they fix around here is my hope, which is dwindling faster than the battery on my remote, as if somehow this is the new normal, sitting here like a glitch in the system while the world outside is too busy celebrating the next “great deal” to notice i can’t even participate.
