got the call that my parent fell again and my first thought was "great, add that to the highlight reel of their golden years" because what else do you do when your heart's breaking and you just want to scream at the staff but you have to keep pretending like it's all fine since there's no backup plan for a better place and maybe just maybe it will turn out okay if i squint hard enough at the world...
