just got home from my last tour and i looked at my empty fridge and saw the notice about the rent due and thought, wow, it’s only ten dollars but can i even get a sandwich with that, no money for anything and the flag feels so heavy.
i thought that test was going to change everything, but it turns out everything is fine and i just sat there feeling this weight lift off my chest like wow, i can actually breathe again and it didn’t all blow up like i feared.

i thought the test result would ruin everything - but somehow it came back negative. got a letter from the landlord saying they are postponing my rent increase and i am just sitting here in disbelief, like how did today go so well, for once.
